My Photo Gear

Prior to Nov 2011 I used Canon gear mostly as you'd notice but have since moved to Nikon.

Photography in the field is a lot about understanding light & patience. It is also about knowing what tools to use in the darkroom. A marriage of these two processes bring out the best. Then there are different ways of dealing with photos that are for print and those for the web or screen presentations. Perfecting these techniques in a short time is tricky, expensive and time consuming but can be additively exciting and satisfying too. In its true essence though, good photography is truly about ‘catching the light’ and ‘timing’, good gear and software definitely helps one get there even faster.

Photography is a passion of mine. Professionally I’m an IT Consultant and offer my services in accessible Web Development & Design. My leisure is mostly consumed in photography, writing, reading spending time with friends & family and a myriad of day dreams!

Recent photos were mostly taken using a Canon 5D Mark II. I use Adobe Lightroom for RAW processing and Photoshop for finalising what the camera sometimes fails to see. Photography is about patience & lighting. There are no rules! But if you must here are my quintessential tips on compositon.
