Photography in the field is a lot about understanding light & patience. It is also about knowing what tools to use in the darkroom. A marriage of these two processes bring out the best. Then there are different ways of dealing with photos that are for print and those for the web or screen presentations. Perfecting these techniques in a short time is tricky, expensive and time consuming but can be additively exciting and satisfying too. In its true essence though, good photography is truly about ‘catching the light’ and ‘timing’, good gear and software definitely helps one get there even faster.
